LITHUANIA

Lithuania (or Republic of Lithuania or Lietuva) is a country in Northern Europe and shares borders with Estonia, Latvia, Poland and Russia’s Kaliningrad exclave. Situated along the southeastern shore of the Baltic Sea, to the east of Sweden and Denmark. According to“Lonely Planet“, Lithuania is “a land of crumbling castles, soaring dunes, enchanting forests and magical lakes”. Lithuania is all that and much more – From the Curonian Spit to the Hill of Crosses, to the Old Town of Vilnius (a UNESCO heritage site). Lithuania is divided into 10 counties an dthe population is 2.9 Million. The climate is relatively mild. The country boasts a well‐developed modern infrastructure of railways, airports and four‐lane highways and has an extensive network of motorways.
