He topped UP Board in Class 10th Exam and was a state rank holder for Class 12th Exam. Did B.E. From IIT Roorkee. Took the UPSC and got selected into the coveted IAS service (UP Cadre 1980 batch) and served in the IAS for more than 3 decades as the top bureaucrat for multiple departments in UP and at Government of India level. He was also the Chairman and CEO of Khadi and Village Industries Commission – KVIC), Government of India. Author of more than 15 books. Loves mentoring and nurturing potential. Loves poetry.
