Career Guru founders’ Prof Swati Mishra and Prof. Abhishek Mishraboth have served as Professors of Strategic Management, and Strategy and Innovation at IIM Lucknow and IIM Ahmedabad respectively. They have both served as consultant to the Sixth Central Pay Commission, Government of India – a Constitutional commission formed once every 10 years. They have taught extensively on Management Development Programs and Executive Education programs at IIM Lucknow and IIM Ahmedabad respectively. Prof. Abhishek Mishra taught at the IAS Phase V Mid Career Training Program delivered together by IIM Ahmedabad and Harvard University, USA. He was the Program Director for the IPS Phase V Mid Career Training Program delivered together by IIM Ahmedabad and London Business School, delivered at Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel National Police Academy (IPS) Hyderabad and at LBS, London. He has also taught young IAS Officers at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Administrative Academy, Mussorie – IAS Academy.
Between both of our founding core team, they have taught at hundreds of Corporate training programs, MDP’s offered by IIM – Ahmedabad and IIM Lucknow, custom made training programs for government, corporate sector and the social sector. They have been extensively involved in case writing, simulations, Capstone, seminars and executive coaching. CEO coaching has been an exclusive preserve for Prof. Abhishek Mishra. He has also spoken at various global platforms including at institutions like Harvard University, MIT, Cambridge, London Business School, SPD Conferences in Netherlands, Malaysia, Bali, Germany, ICAPP South Korea / Moscow, Forum 2000 at Prague, Arab Economic Forum UAE (on the lines of WEF Davos) to name a few.
They have served a broad range of multinational and Indian corporates in the domains of Strategy Consulting, Managing Growth in a VUCA environment, Innovation, Marketing, Mergers & Acquisitions, Family business continuity and succession planning, Diversification & Consolidation, To Forward and Backward Integrate or Not etc. Recently they have been actively supporting India’s top 1000 public listed companies in ESG conformance that has been mandated by Government of India for the first time in April 2023.
Career Guru is already a significant player in this space, especially the custom made program domain. We have intensive in-house capabilities to assess, complete a formal Training Needs Assessment Exercise, consult and advise stakeholders, design a program from a scratch, and deliver it anywhere in the world (as the client chooses) including top institutions like Harvard, MIT, LSE, LBS, Cambridge, Oxford, Cornell etc. The methodology is that once a client settles on a specific TNA it is discussed with their institute of choice, and when agreed mutually, the program can be offered in those institutions, online, or in India. The founders extensive global network, connect and alumni network make this possible at Career Guru. This is a huge value add that only we can offer because of founders’ network, education and background.
We are also proposing to tie-up with various Indian institutions like IIMs and IITs to offer their standardised programs and, if possible, custom-made programs with their faculty, delivered on campus at various IIMs and other institutions of national excellence.
